Friday night will feature the Left Ear Trio, an funk trio of organ, guitar and drums.

Out of the creative energies of both Boston and New York City, the Left Ear Trio was formed. For over 3 years now, they’ve been putting together their own twist on an age old format – The Organ Trio. Although they revel in the influences and styles commonly found in this format (Jazz/Funk ala ‘Soul Live’, ‘Grant Green’, or ‘Jimmy Smith’), they also enjoy the exploration that come with original compositions drenched in improvisation. Such excursions can lead the listener anywhere, at anytime, and might enter the realm of world music or even occasionally avant-garde. The Left Ear trio can be found performing their music across all corners of New England, stretching both their physical boundaries, as well as that of their audience, both dancers and listeners alike.
Show is FREE for SUNY Potsdam students.
Only $3 for general public!
